Scott M. Owen, 50, of Buchanan, passed away on Thursday, September 15, 2022, at his home.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Monday-Sept. 19, at 5:00pm, with Deacon Steve May officiating at the Portage Road General Baptist Church, 1765 Portage Rd. Niles. Visitation will be held one hour prior, from 4-5 pm. Also at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to Elara Caring Hospice or Huntington's Disease Society of America. Scott was born March 7, 1972, in Niles to Ronald Owen and Kay Bloom. He attended Dowagiac High School. On January 24, 1998, he married the love of his life, Rashawnda "Shawnee" May. Scott enjoyed the outdoors where he loved to go hunting and fishing; he was also a die-hard U of M sports fan. He worked as a CNC machinist for Delta Machining of Niles. Family was everything to Scott, he will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Scott is survived by his loving wife, Shawnee Owen; children, Rhonda Owen, of Buchanan, Michaela (Reveriano) Rojas of Elkhart, Tyler (Amber) Owen of Buchanan, and Benjamin Owen of Mishawaka; grandchildren, Alivia Brown, Alayah Brown, Raven Fonder, Camila Rojas, Mariana Rojas, Mavric Owen and Lincoln Gibson; siblings, Ronald Owen of Clearwater, FL and Terri Jo Bundy of Dowagiac. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ronald Owen and Kay Bloom; and his sister, Annette Huff.
